YOUR CE PRESCRIPTION FOR CQR
The final phase of CQR is completing your prescribed Continuing Education (CE).
- If you took the Structured Self-Assessment (SSA), your prescribed CE will help you address knowledge gaps, if any, that your SSA identified.
- If you opted to skip the SSA and instead accepted the full CQR CE prescription, you'll be assigned all required CE for your discipline. (You can find these totals in our SSA annual reports. You'll prescription will contain the overall total of "Potential CE" for your discipline.)
If you have a CE prescription, you can review it on your SSA results page in the CQR tool, available through your online account. There, you’ll also find a list of specific, targeted CE activities that meet your CE prescription. Prescribed CE is mandatory, and you must complete it during your three-year CQR compliance period.
WHEN SHOULD I COMPLETE MY CE PRESCRIPTION?
- Because it’s possible that you’ll be assigned CE for CQR compliance, consider completing your SSA early in your biennium. That will allow you to coordinate your prescribed CE with your biennial CE requirements. (If you enter CE for CQR that ARRT approves, and the CE is eligible for your biennial CE requirements, we'll apply it to your biennial CE.)
- You should complete and report any prescribed CE at least two weeks before the end of your three-year CQR compliance period. When you’ve completed your CE, upload your activities to the online CQR tool, which is accessible through your online account.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Within two weeks of receiving your CE activities, we’ll update your online progress checklist to confirm whether you’ve successfully completed your CQR CE. If more than two weeks pass and you don’t see an online update, call us at 651.687.0048. Choose the option for Continuing Qualifications Requirements.
