Annual Renewal
To maintain your ARRT certification and registration, you must renew your credential(s) every year. Renewal is quick and easy through your online account.
When you renew, you must be in compliance with the ARRT Rules and Regulations the ARRT Standards of Ethics, and, if applicable, Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR).
Renewal Timing
Your renewal deadline is always 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the last day of your birth month.
For your first renewal:
- After earning your first ARRT credential, you’ll be certified and registered through the end of your next birth month.
- Exception: If your birth month ends less than two months after you earn your first credential, your certification and registration will extend until the end of your birth month in the following year.
Biennial CE
Every other year, you’ll report continuing education (CE) activities when you complete the renewal process. This two-year period is called your CE biennium.
Important to understand: While the deadline to report CE is the last day of your birth month—the same day as your renewal deadline—your deadline for completing your CE activities comes before. Check your dashboard to view your biennium deadline.
