HOW TO APPLY
Applying for ARRT certification and registration will vary depending on which pathway you are using or which credential you're pursuing. For all pathways, you'll need to submit an application, and we'll need to approve it, before you can schedule your exam.
PRIMARY ELIGIBILITY PATHWAY AND
IMAGING ASSISTANT (I.A.) CREDENTIAL
The majority of people earning their first ARRT credential will use either the primary pathway and its application process, or they'll earn an I.A. credential.

R.R.A. CREDENTIAL
You'll first be directed to log in to your online account, then we'll send you to the page on applying for a Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A.) credential.

*If you're not an R.T. but you hold a credential in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Sonography from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), you may request an ARRT online account.
