EARN ADDITIONAL CREDENTIALS: IMAGING ASSISTANT

Pursuing ARRT's newest credential type—Imaging Assistant (I.A.)—offers entry into the medical imaging profession and requires a high school diploma or GED.   

REQUIREMENTS

To earn a new credential as an Imaging Assistant, you’ll need to fulfill a range of requirements: 

  • Structured education: You must complete 32 hours of structured education activities. 
  • Clinical experience: You must perform and document a specific number of various clinical competencies. 
  • Ethics: You must maintain compliance with the ARRT Standards of Ethics.  
  • Examination: You must complete and pass the ARRT exam for the specific I.A. discipline you’re pursuing.
