Our international inquiries page has information specifically for international students and technologists regarding ARRT certification and registration.
If you have additional questions, contact our Initial Certification Department at 1.651.687.0048. When prompted, enter extension 8560.
ARRT eligibility requirements are the same for everyone, regardless of where you live, work, or were educated. We don’t have separate requirements for international students, professionals, or technologists.
Education requirements for ARRT certification and registration are the same for everyone. If you’ve completed an educational program outside the U.S., and your educational institution doesn’t appear on the list of ARRT-approved education programs, you won’t meet our education requirement. If this describes you, we encourage you to explore the advanced placement option to meet our education requirements.
ARRT is a certification organization. We don’t handle issues or questions relating to employment, working in the U.S., or work visas. Consult your prospective employer or the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. You’ll also want to check with the state licensing agency for the state in which you wish to work—each state has different requirements for working as a technologist.
