WHAT IS ARRT CERTIFICATION & REGISTRATION?

If you’re considering a career in medical imaging or radiation therapy, ARRT credentials can help you stand out among job candidates. In some cases, employers require our certification and registration. But what exactly is it? And why is it so important?

A RECOGNITION OF YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

The purpose of ARRT certification and registration is to recognize individuals qualified to perform a specific role. For example, the purpose of our Radiography credential is to recognize individuals who are qualified to perform the role of a radiographer. To become certified and registered, candidates must meet certain professional standards in medical imaging or radiation therapy.

Currently more than 360,000 people hold ARRT credentials. By earning ARRT certification and registration, you'll be joining the ranks of these qualified professionals.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Many employers require their medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals to hold ARRT certification and registration. Even when doing so isn’t a job prerequisite, however, having ARRT credentials tells employers that you’re committed to providing exceptional patient care.
