Application Process: Imaging Assistant
Have you nearly completed your structured education and clinical competency requirements for earning an I.A. credential? If so, it’s time to think about applying for the ARRT exam. The application process for the Imaging Assistant credential has numerous detailed steps—but don't worry. We have a range of resources to help you.
OVERVIEW OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE IMAGING ASSISTANT CREDENTIAL
Before You Apply
- Review our Imaging Assistant Handbook.
- Meet our ethics requirements (and report potential violations).
Complete And Submit Your Application
- When you're ready to apply, you'll access the application from your dashboard.
- If you need ADA accommodations, you'll request them when you apply.
- Submit your completed application to ARRT.
After We Process Your Application
We'll send you a Candidate Status Report with instructions for scheduling your exam. (Here's a sample report.)
Schedule and Take Your Exam
- Schedule your exam at a Pearson test center.
- Take your exam within 365 days.
Exam Results
- You'll get a preliminary score at the test center.
- We'll check your exam results.
- Within about 10 days, you’ll receive an email notifying you that your official exam results are available in your ARRT online account.
