ARRT Board of Trustees Names New 2025-26 Officers

ARRT is pleased to announce its Board of Trustees officers for 2025-26. Following the completion of its July meeting earlier today, Candice Johnstone, M.D., MPH, FAAWR, FACR, former Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer, will be Board President for the coming year. Jeff Killion, Ph.D., R.T.(R)(QM)(ARRT), will serve as Vice President and Lauren Shanbrun, MS, CNMT, R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT), will be Secretary-Treasurer. Killion joined the Board in 2021, and Shanbrun joined in 2022. 

About Johnstone 

Johnstone joined the ARRT Board of Trustees in 2020. Johnstone is Medical Director of Radiation Oncology and Professor of Radiation Therapy in Milwaukee. She specializes in lung, breast, and esophageal cancers as well as palliative radiation therapy. 

In addition to her new role as ARRT Board of Trustees president, Johnstone also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Women in Radiology and is a representative on the Radiology Information Committee of the American College of Radiology. She sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Cancer Education, Practical Radiation Oncology, Journal of Palliative Medicine, and Radiotherapy and Oncology. In addition, she co-edited the textbook Handbook of Palliative Radiation Therapy
