ARRT Honors Three in 2022 I Am The Gold Standard Program

(Oct. 17, 2022) — Congratulations to the three Registered Technologists (R.T.s) who received I Am the Gold Standard awards in 2022.

  • Scott Jackson, R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), is the new Radiology Operations Manager at Kaiser Permanente in Lutherville, Maryland. He has volunteered numerous hours to professional sports teams—he received a World Series ring for his service—and has treated military personnel. He mentors students in addition to his work and volunteering, and he emphasized holistic care as part of his approach.
  • Kyle Kearsley, R.T.(R)(T)(CT)(ARRT), is a traveling R.T. currently working in Billings, Montana. He has accomplished a lot in his career in a short period, and he seeks constant self-improvement. He’s completing a graduate program in dosimetry.
  • Tina Taylor, R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT), RCIS, is a Cardiovascular Specialist and Educator at UNC REX Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her expertise in complex cases has earned her the respect of peers and prominent cardiologists and vascular surgeons throughout the country.

A committee of R.T.s on staff at ARRT select I Am the Gold Standard winners. Jackson, Kearsley, and Taylor will receive airfare, hotel, and conference registration for a national society conference of their choice in the continental U.S.

We’ve sponsored the I Am the Gold Standard awards since 2016 to recognize R.T.s who excel in their profession. Winners meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Quality and Safety: They’ve led or significantly contributed to research that measurably improves patient care.
  • Patient Experience: They’ve consistently provided stellar patient experiences that exceed expectations, and/or they’ve led patient experience efforts that resulted in measurable improvements.
  • Advocating for the Profession: They’ve shown a substantial commitment to the profession by leading a volunteer effort or by achieving significant accomplishments while volunteering.
