(March 28, 2022) — Karyn Estrada, BSRS, CNMT, R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT), has joined ARRT as Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Relationship Manager. “My role is to initiate outreach to students, educators, and Registered Technologists in nuclear medicine technology,” she says.
The NMT Relationship Manager role serves as an important ambassador between ARRT and the NMT educational programs. “Nuclear Medicine Technology—launched nearly 60 years ago—is ARRT’s second oldest credentialing program,” says Jerry Reid, Ph.D. and CEO of ARRT. “The role of the NMT Relationship Manager is to support our continued commitment to nuclear medicine professionals.”
He adds that providing a dedicated staff person helps ensure strong lines of communication between the profession and ARRT. “And, who better to enhance communications than a member of the NMT profession?,” Jerry says. “Karyn’s the perfect individual to fill the role. Her professionalism and enthusiasm add to her qualifications and experience in nuclear medicine, and she will be an asset to the ARRT and the profession. We are very excited to have Karyn in this role and look forward to her contributions.”
Estrada hopes to help students and professionals navigate the field. “Nuclear medicine is a unique modality,” she says. “I’m hoping to build lasting relationships and ensure that the certification and registration program that leads to the R.T.(N)(ARRT) designation continues to be a valued certification. I’m really looking forward to networking and learning how ARRT can continue to support the NMT field.”
