R.T. Resources From ARRT Virtual Educator Symposium Now Available
Over 1,300 educators and program directors tuned in this past August for ARRT’s first-ever Virtual Educator Symposium. Guided by feedback from medical imaging and radiation therapy educators, ARRT designed the event to help students succeed, strengthen programs, and deepen understanding of ARRT processes.
Much of the content may also be helpful for R.T.s. Sessions addressed certification, ethics, assessment development, student preparedness, cognitive modeling, item writing, and student success strategies.
Symposium Recommendations:
- Maintaining Education Requirements: Annual renewals, biennium periods, continuing education, continuing qualifications requirements, and more.
- Improving Student Knowledge Retention: Strategies for studying effectively according to current science.
- Preparing for the ARRT Exam: Resources and tips for students navigating the credential process.
- Advocacy 101: Ways to help advance the interests of patients, professionals, and the profession in health care policy.
- Standards of Ethics in Practice: Understand the purpose of the ARRT Ethics Committee, Code of Ethics, and Rules of Ethics, and what they mean for patients and professionals.
