Enhance Your Resume by Volunteering With ARRT

Would you like to advance your career and collaborate with other Registered Technologists (R.T.s) across the nation? Consider serving as an ARRT volunteer!

You don’t need to be a seasoned pro. We have opportunities for R.T.s in their first jobs as well as those who have years of experience. Training is free.

About Our Volunteer Roles

You may choose from several volunteering options. They include:

  • Writing questions for our exams
  • Reviewing newly created exam content
  • Creating surveys about the work R.T.s do
  • Accomplishing specific special projects

We’ll pay for the exam questions you submit, and we provide honorariums when you take part in committee meetings.

Why Volunteer?

We think you’ll enjoy being part of our volunteer team. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what other R.T.s have to say.

  • “It’s great to meet so many knowledgeable people in the field of breast imaging. Sharing ideas and brainstorming with such intelligent people allows me to widen my own knowledge base.”  Deb W., R.T.(R)(M)(CT)(QM)(ARRT);  Mammography Exam Committee
  • “Volunteering with ARRT early in my career has given me the opportunity to meet other professionals and learn more about my field. At each meeting, I hear new perspectives and grow my understanding of nuclear medicine.” Savannah L., R.T.(N)(ARRT); Nuclear Medicine Technology Exam Committee and item writer
  • “I enjoy the networking that comes with volunteering. Several people I have met have become good friends. It makes the field of radiology feel smaller. I also enjoy seeing people from all over the country come together to create educational material for the betterment of the profession.” Wes S., R.R.A., R.T.(R)(ARRT); RRA Exam Committee
  • “The constant challenge and focus is something I enjoy. You’re continuously challenging yourself and relearning items you haven't had to think about since you were a student yourself.” Nicole R., R.T.(R)(CT)(BD)(ARRT); Radiography Exam Committee
  • “Being able to converse with other technologists, radiologists, and physicists provides incredible insight on experiences in radiology. It’s fascinating to hear about different workflows and protocols and to share, create, and have productive conversations in a safe place with brilliant minds.”  Kelley B., R.T.(R)(M)(BD)(BS)(ARRT); Breast Sonography Exam Committee
