Earning credentials Using The PostPrimary PathwayAfter earning your first credential from ARRT (or in certain cases from another organization), pursuing a second credential using the postprimary pathway is a great way to enhance your professional development. (Note—this is different from pursuing a second credential using the primary pathway.)
We offer a postprimary pathway option for 10 disciplines:
- Computed Tomography
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Quality Management
- Bone Densitometry
- Cardiac Interventional Radiography
- Vascular Interventional Radiography
- Vascular Sonography
- Breast Sonography
Learn more about the specific postprimary disciplines that interest you.
In our Reference section, you can review and download the Structured Education Requirements, Clinical Experience Requirements, and Examination Content Specifications for each discipline. You'll also find our Postprimary Handbook, which will guide you through the postprimary process.
