Most Students Can Now Apply Online

It’s true: the majority of students can now apply for an ARRT credential online. The days of paper applications are going the way of leg warmers and disco.

Candidates can apply online for certification and registration beginning 90 days before graduation. They may pay with a credit card unless your school pays students’ application fees. In that case, email us at programdirectors@arrt.org, or contact us through the educator website.

Students who already have an ARRT ID or who have applied with a paper application won’t be able to apply online. For students who’ve already submitted an Ethics Review Preapplication, please have the student contact us with any questions at 651.687.0048. Choose the option for earning an ARRT credential.

Online Applications Make Applying More Efficient

Applying online speeds up the process. For example, students need candidate status reports before they can schedule an exam. With online applications, we can post those reports on the student’s ARRT online account the next day. In the past, candidates had to wait to receive the reports in the mail.

Application Fee to Increase Jan. 1, 2022

Effective Jan. 1, 2022, ARRT will increase our fees to apply for certification and registration.

To avoid the fee increase, students must submit their 2021 application for certification and registration no later than 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2021. If they're submitting a paper application, the postmark date must be no later than Dec. 31, 2021.
