Feedback Sought on Proposed Changes to Four ARRT Disciplines

(August 10, 2016) — Proposed Examination Content Specifications and Clinical Experience Requirements for the disciplines below were recently completed and the documents are now available for professional comment.

ARRT strives to produce comprehensive, accurate and fair examinations that cover the knowledge and cognitive skills required to practice in the fields of medical imaging, interventional procedures and radiation therapy. Therefore, Examination Content Specifications and Clinical Experience Requirements are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.

To meet future education needs and promote consistency across ARRT disciplines, four major universal content categories have been established for the content specifications. They are Patient Care, Safety, Image Production and Procedures.
