Technologists who earn credentials from ARRT must routinely assess their knowledge and skills, so they remain prepared to meet changing health care standards. That's why we created the Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR) process.
CQR applies to any credentials earned after Jan. 1, 2011, and to all Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A.) credentials. You'll complete CQR every 10 years for each eligible discipline, and you'll have three years to complete the process.
We've discussed the concept of time-limited certifications (such as CQR) in our ARRT Rules and Regulations for more than a decade. To explain the details of CQR, we've created a fourth governing document: ARRT Continuing Qualifications Requirements. In accordance with our practice of soliciting input on our governing documents, we're giving you the chance to comment on this new one.
Keep in mind: we're not asking whether you support CQR. We're asking for comments on the specific policies that are part of CQR.
